The Team

Joseph Masika Mutunga is the founder and Managing Partner of Mutunga Masika & Associates, Certified Public Accountants. He holds a practicing certificate number 2184 from The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). Masika is a finance, accounting, management and governance professional with over 12 years experience in auditing, financial management, training, financial advisory and accounting support. He has supported dozens of clients cutting across individuals, agricultural outfits, public and private businesses, professional service firms, and national and international non-profit organizations.

He has special interest and experience in supporting the non-profit sector - NGOs, Churches, CBOs and other kinds of public benefit organizations. He also has measurable experience in supporting the establishment and running of SMEs.

He is a fully qualified Certified Public Secretary (CPS). He holds a certificate in Hospital Administration from CORAT Africa and a certificate in Inter-cultural Missions from Hald International Center, Mandal, Norway. He further holds a B.Com (Accounting) degree from the University of Nairobi and currently concluding a Masters degree in Leadership Studies (MLS) at the International Leadership University.

Masika is currently a member of the board of directors of FilmAid Kenya, an organization registered in the US as well locally under the NGOs’ Coordination Act. FilmAid seeks to use the power of Media to pass life changing messages especially to the Refugee Communities in Dadaab and in Kakuma. He is also a board member of CMS-Africa (as the treasurer), registered in Kenya in 2008 as an NGO. It exists to provide a linkage between Missionary work in Africa to the churches and communities through holistic development.
